Situation

Existing camera tier 1 had an opportunity to quote surround view system at German OEM – but had no solution. Was considered without chance of winning business and not supported by Tier 2.

Activities

• Cogent created a system design based on Renesas chips.
• Set up demo vehicle with Cogent SV
• Supported tier 1 throughout tech reviews and bidding process.

Results

• Against all odds Tier 1 was awarded OEM surround view against more experienced competitors. Expects significant competitive edge due to royalty free code provided by Cogent.
• Cogent now heavily involved in production program. Supporting requirement engineering, system design, hardware and software within Tier 1 team.
